Unlegendary Heroes. My grandfather is infamous in our family for his do-it-yourself approach to medical care. For example, he once stitched up a large cut on one of his children’s heads. It apparently healed well, too. He’s done all sorts of other small medical procedures on himself that most people would leave to a doctor or nurse.
