Do all of you live close to any beaches? (Yes, I think the beaches that can be found on some lakes count, too! It doesn’t have to be by an ocean.)
My grandma loves the Images of America series (the ones about our area of the country, anyway)! I live quite close to a lot of beaches, but unfortunately I don’t get to visit them as much as I would like.

What do Canadians do for beaches? It’s one of the nice things about living near the Gulf — I can be eating shrimp and watching the waves within 2-3 hours if I have a whim.
We have thousands and thousands of lakes, some of which are absolutely massive like the Great Lakes.
We also have the ocean on either side of our country, of course. 🙂 But further north the culture surrounding it is a bit different as it’s never as warm as the Gulf Coast.

Technically we have some beaches around here, but they are all small lake beaches and not ideal for hanging out and lounging all day! I don’t know if I have ever read a book with Beach in the title which really surprises me because I love beach reads!

I love the beach so awesome prompt! I am surprised I only have two books in my TBR with Beach in the title..I live about 6 hours away from the coast but live near enough to some bigger lakes.

What a great variety of genres! I almost picked the word “beach” for today’s prompt, too. Even though it’s July 7th and I haven’t yet made it to the beach, although I’m on the East Coast and live a short enough drive to several beaches to go more often than I do.
I should read Outer Beach. When I was growing up, we used to go to the Outer Cape (Eastham) every year and stay a week or sometimes two weeks in a small rental cottage that really wasn’t even big enough for our family!

Great choice of a word! The first book I think of with “beach” in the title is the very scary book, On the Beach by Nevil Shute.

That’s a great word choice for a summer TTT post!
I sunburn very easily, and I hate feeling gritty (or salty/sticky after the seawater dries), so I tend to avoid the beach in summer unless there’s an extended family vacation there. But I love walking on the beach in the spring or fall, hearing the waves, enjoying the breeze, watching the birds, and picking up the occasional shell.
Honestly, I prefer visiting the beach then as well!
I love the beach theme and plan to use it for an upcoming TTT post.
