2. The Tea Rose (The Tea Rose, #1) by Jennifer Donnelly
3. Rose Red and Snow White: A Grimms Fairy Tale by Ruth Sanderson
4. Rose Madder by Stephen King
5. Rose Daughter by Robin McKinley
6. A Rose for Emily and Other Stories by William Faulkner
7. I Never Promised You a Rose Garden by Hannah Green
8. The Nightingale and the Rose by Oscar Wilde
9. A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1) by Sarah J. Maas
10. The Black Rose by Thomas B. Costain
Great picks! (lol) I read I Never Promised You a Rose Garden when I was in high school and it just was so good, that it still stands out in my mind.
It was great!
“Sweet” pick! ๐
Thanks. ๐
I love Rose Daughter! Robin McKinley is one of my favorite authors, so I was happy to see that on your list. I’ve also read A Rose for EmilyโFaulkner is such a strange guy!

I see you have some classic titles in your list. I am trying frantically to read as many classics as I can, making up for lost time.
Oh, thatโs awesome! Good for you.
What a fabulous choice, Lydia. And so many wonderful books with rose in the title. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
I’ve heard of a few of these. But haven’t read any. However, I think at one time I was curious about both Jennifer’s and Robin’s! May be two more titles I need to take a look at again. ๐ Thanks so much for visiting my list today!
Youโre welcome.
I loved Rose Daughter. It’s so interesting to compare it to her other BATB retelling, Beauty.
For sure!
Ahhh! I can smell their lovely fragrance! Wonderful list!

Thank you. ๐
Good word choice. Name of the Rose!
Thanks!
I only read, of course, A Court of Thorns and Roses and I have heard of The Tea Rose. However, it doesn’t sound like a book for me unfortunately.
No worries!
I love roses! It’s a great word choice for spring.
Thank you. ๐

Rose Madder and Rose Daughter are two books on my immediate TBR, as soon as I can get to them, by two of my favorite authors! Great choice of word!
Hope you like them!
Great word, Lydia. I have read four of your books (1, 7, and 8) and probably would have found a few more, as well. I love the idea.

Oh, awesome! And youโre welcome.
This is a really interesting list. I’ve read ACOTAR, but most of the others were new to me. Roses are such pretty flowers, and I remember hearing about I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, but never reading it. Just added that to my TBR.
Thank you. Hope you like that one.
