Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone who is celebrating it! I always forgot to wear something green on that day when I was in school and so endured jokes about being pinched all day. (Nobody ever really pinched me, though!) Did your school have that custom as well?
Here are some books that have green book covers. I’ve only read the first two titles, but the rest sound interesting as well.

1. Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1) by L.M. Montgomery

2. Dark Waters (Small Spaces, #3) by Katherine Arden

3. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

4. The Cats of Tanglewood Forest by Charles de Lint

5. The Owls Have Come to Take Us Away by Ronald L. Smith

6. The Bee and the Orange Tree by Melissa Ashley

7. The River Wife by Jonis Agee
Nice collection!

Thank you!
I never remembered the day until people started threatening me, but at recess I’d make a bracelet or necklace out of grass & such to war off pinching!
Oh, that’s hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful covers!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Thank you. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you as well!
Lovely collection of green! It makes me happy to see Anne of Green Gables here! I loved Evelyn Hugo too.
Thank you. Glad to hear it. 🙂
Gorgeous covers!
Thank you!
Oh my, I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen more people posting Evelyn Hugo because it’s so popular and of course, has a stunning green cover 😍 All of these are great green cover picks though.
Yes, I was expecting to see more folks using that book, too! And thanks.
My cousin is big about wearing green so if I see her on the day, she always has to make sure I’m wearing green. 😉
You found a great collection of green book covers! I should have added the ‘Anne’ book; not only does it have greens, but the title has the color in it too! Thanks for visiting my list today. 🙂
That’s great. And you’re quite welcome.
I didn’t even think about the fact that Anne of Green Gables also references the colour in the title itself.
Love the cover for Cats of Tangelwood Forest! Nice work!
Thanks. 🙂
These are great. The Cats of Tanglewood Forest looks beautiful.
Thank you!
Anne of GREEN Gable, of course. Good catch. I have had the Seven Husbands on my reading list for so long, it is becoming a joke that I still haven’t read it.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Thank you. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Hope you like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
Great cover choices. We never celebrated it at school. I only wear green now to amuse my sons!
Have a great week!
Thank you, and that’s really interesting.
Great list! I don’t think I’ve heard of The Cats of Tanglewood Forest before, which just goes to show how far behind I am on reading Charles de Lint’s work.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I hope you like it if or when you read it. 🙂
Evelyn Hugo has been on and off my TBR shelf many times. Currently, it is on. A nice mix of books, Lydia.
Honestly, same here. And thanks. 🙂
I enjoyed reading Anne of Green Gables many years ago!!
Ditto! 😀
I loved Evelyn Hugo and the Katherine Arden quartet.
Glad to hear it.
Great selection of books. The Cats of Tanglewood Forest sounds very good. I had never heard of it before. Charles Vess is one of my favorite illustrators. His artwork is incredible.
I’m not very familiar with most of it, but I really like what I’ve seen so far.
I always love wearing green on St Patrick’s Day, even though I’m not Irish. LOL! I feel that Anne of Green Gables is a popular choice for today.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/books-with-green-covers-pick-a-color/
Yes, she’s been quite popular. It’s cool you wear green for St. Patrick’s Day.
The cover for The Bee and the Orange Tree is really stunning.
Agreed.
I like the cover of The Owls Have Come to Take Us Away!
Thanks. 🙂
Anne of Green Gables is always a wonderful choice! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Thank you!
I love your picks! Anne of Green Gables and Evelyn Hugo are such good books!
Thank you. 🙂
A classic Anne of Green Gables cover! Love your picks.
Thank you.
Good choices! I liked The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo quite a lot, definitely more than I’d expected to. I thought it wouldn’t be my thing, but… it worked well.
Thank you. Glad to hear it.
What a great bunch of green covers. I especially love the covers on the children’s books.
That’s great! 🙂
These are some pretty covers! We didn’t have the pinching tradition at school, but then again we don’t really celebrate St Patrick’s Day here 🙂
It makes sense you wouldn’t have that tradition then. 🙂
I’m a huge fan of Anne of Green Gables, so that’s probably my favorite Book with a Green Cover.
Honestly, same here. 🙂
Yay for Anne of Green Gables! 🍀
Yay!
I think the custom might especially be a US thing because I went to school internationally and it was always the US kids who did the pinching (and I actually got pinched!!!). The Bee and the Orange Tree has a gorgeous cover!
I did grow up in the U.S., so that makes sense. 🙂
And, yes, it sure does.
I’m pretty sure I only ever got pinched for not wearing green by my siblings! Ha ha. Great picks here.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Oh, I love this story. Thanks for sharing.
I love your choices of green covers. The River Wife is my favorite!
Thank you. 🙂
The Owls has such a striking cover!
Agreed!
Anne of Green Gables is such a great series. It’s like a comfort read at this point. Evelyn Hugo is one that I love, but a lot of people either love or hate it. Great list!
Yes, it sure is. And I’ve heard that about Evelyn Hugo before!
One of my favorite books starts off your list. Such great covers this week.
it’s one of my favourites, too. And thanks. 🙂
