  1. So many great books that I hadn’t heard of. Alice Walker, one of my all-time favourite authors, didn’t know she’d written a new one, Margaret Atwood, also a great author. And “True Names” by Malaika Adero sounds like a book for me. Will have to add that to my wishlist. Sigh.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier. I fixed the link in the meantime.

  2. Whoa. What a great list. I just know that Margaret Atwood has a poem book. It’s interesting.

  3. These all look like great reads! I’ll have to put together my own summer TBR pile. I didn’t know Margaret Atwood had a poetry book. I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the list!

  4. Vampires of Portlandia sounds SO COOL. I also hadn’t heard of it before, so thanks for the rec!

  6. My son will be thrilled that Christopher Paolini has a new book on the way!!

  7. Okay, that is an incredible list. The Journals of Alice Walker… I didn’t even know this was coming out! And yes, I did find it darn near impossible to narrow my choices down.

    Here’s my TTT.

  18. Oooh vampires! So glad you commented on my TTT so I could come check yours out! 🙂

  19. The vampires anthology looks interesting, I hadn’t heard of that one before!

  20. Vampires seem to be making a comeback! I wonder if it has anything to do with the new Twilight book? I hope you enjoy these.

  21. Yes, it was definitely hard to narrow this list to only ten. There are so many upcoming titles I want to read! You have an eclectic list. I’m an eclectic reader too although I have my favorite genres. Alice Walker’s book looks good.

  22. Great list! I’m looking forward to Instant Karma and Vampires Never Get Old.

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday Post

    Michelle @ Book Briefs

  25. Instant Karma looks absolutely great!

  26. I want to read the Paolini book for sure. The Vampires too. Love both those covers. And I just saw that first vampire one on Goodreads yesterday and now it’s showing up on lists- sounds good!

  27. True Names sounds good. There are some African American families in Appalachia, but more likely there are a few mixed-race children or foster or adopted children who are Black–at least where I live which is right at the start of Appalachia in Ohio.

  28. These look fun! And yes, I had a hard time keeping this week’s list to ten books also. (I think I listed 12…)

  29. RS

Agreed on Nimiety (a cool new word to me). What is it about Ferris Wheels in a state of decay that so intensely brings out the post-apocalyptic sense of loss? More than overgrown roads and buildings, even, there’s something about that specific structure that hits really hard.

As to the sentence “What’s not to love about inheriting a castle and all of the magical things inside of it?” — get out of my brain! Couldn’t have said it better myself.

  30. This is great list of books! Vampires Never Get Old sounds so good, especially with that lineup of fantastic authors.

I hope you enjoy Vampires of Portlandia – I liked that one. Also hope that you get to read and enjoy everything on your list as well. Happy reading! 😊

  31. I kept my list to ten, but it wasn’t easy. There are lots of great-sounding books still to come out. 2020 hasn’t been ALL bad 🙂

I’m interested to see how Meyer does in a different genre from her usual. INSTANT KARMA sounds cute. I hadn’t heard of NIMIETY before, but now I’m super intrigued. Looks dystopian and I’m always up for that 🙂 I love books about Appalachia, so I’m definitely going to take a closer look at TRUE NAMES.

    Happy TTT!

  32. Instant Karma sounds interesting!

  33. I’ve seen Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer on quite a few list this week. Seems like a cute story. Here’s my TTT list.

  34. I had no idea that Christopher Paolini and Margaret Atwood had new books coming out. Thanks for sharing.

  35. I’m going to have to check out that book of poetry by Margaret Atwood when it’s released. I don’t read nearly enough poetry although I love it, and she always has me thinking, so it seems like it’ll be a great combo. I should go back and check out some of her earlier poetry.

  36. Some good titles here. I still haven’t read any Paolini!!

  37. That Margaret Atwood poetry collection intrigues me. I’m excited for Instant Karma too. That one just sounds like a fun read.

  38. Thanks for popping by Picky to leave some comment love! That book on depression and the one on food allergies… I really hope they’re GOOD. You’ve got some interesting titles on your list. Enjoy them!

  39. Discovered some great books in your list!

  40. I’m sold in Vampires in Portlandia. It’s going on my tbr right now!

  41. Colleen @Colleen's Conclusions

Instant Karma sounds good!! Hope you enjoy your choices when you get them!

  43. Vampires Never Get Old and Instant Karma sounds great! Can’t wait for them to be released 🙂

  44. You’re right, Nimiety is instantly intriguing!

  45. Wow there are sooo many books on here that I haven’t heard of yet! Added a bunch to my tbr 😀 thank you for posting!

Cinders and Sparrows and Instant Karma look so good, and VAMPIRES – ‘nough said!

  46. Great picks.
I also love the idea of instant karma! Although that might mean I have to be less snarky…

  47. verushka

Ohhh, i am loving these titles — which are all new to me. BUT, Vampires of Portlandia, that cover? Soooo very cool!

  48. Margaret Atwood is coming ut with a new book? Cool! I wonder why Goodreads didn’t tell me…hmmm.

You have some nice books lined up here.

  49. I hope you find some new favorites in these!

  50. Ooh, I’ve been meaning to try some of the authors in that vampire anthology; I shall have to keep an eye out for it!

  51. I’ve seen Vampires Never Get Old making the rounds! I hope you enjoy all of these! ♡

  52. What a fabulous list. Vampires Never Get Old, Cinder and Sparrows, and Link by Link all need to go on my wish list. The first two aren’t normal reads for me, but they sound so good.

    Thanks for sharing.

  53. Cinders and Sparrows looks like it’ll be a really good one! I’m really curious about To Sleep in a Sea of Stars, too. Great list!

  54. I haven’t heard of a lot of these books before but they sound interesting especially To Sleep in a Sea of Stars and Cinders and Sparrows!

  55. There are a few on here that have piqued my interest Lydia. I will be checking them out. Thanks for sharing them and adding to my TBR.

  56. Ooo I didn’t know about the Margaret Atwood poetry! I’m not the biggest fan of poetry, but I’m a massive Atwood fan so I’m going to have to give it a go. Thanks!

  57. Oh damn, I didn’t know that Atwood is coming out with something new! I’ll have to check it out.

  58. I’m really looking forward to Instant Karma!

  59. Nimiety got my attention right away too. The Ferris wheel reminded me of Chernobyl.

  60. Link by Link sounds intriguing, though I am surprised it doesn’t include A Christmas Carol. I’m also interested to see what Marissa Meyer is up to with Instant Karma. I’m kind of reserving judgment on the Paolini book until I see some reviews. But I’m definitely on board for Cinders and Sparrows!

  61. I’m intrigued by the “Vampires Never Get Old: Tales with Fresh Bite” anthology. I’ll have to look it up!

  62. This is such a great list!
