While trying to decide what to blog about for this year’s Valentine’s Day freebie post, I took a look back at the topics I selected for it in previous years: Bookish Romantic Quotes, Conversation Hearts on Book Covers, Helpful Nonfiction Books About Relationships, and Books I Liked About Asexual Characters.
Yeah, so I am not exactly the most romantic person in the world.
What I do like about Valentine’s Day, though, are the chocolates and the sales of leftover Valentine’s Day chocolates that will be happening in about two days.
There is nothing like getting a little package of sweets for 50% off the day after the holiday! They somehow taste just a little better that way if you ask me.
Here are some books about chocolate that would make me hungry.

Yes, I had more than ten answers this week. This will help to balance out the weeks when I only have four or five answers. That’s how it works, right? Jana combs through all of our posts and averages out how many replies we come up with for her secret database or something? Ha!

I think Cormier had a book about chocolate, but I don’t remember it being a cozy read. My list is ‘things in novels I love’, since romance and I are not a happy pair!

Such a fun topic for today! I think I have some books that somehow surround chocolate (chocolate maker, chocolate on the cover, etc.) that would have fit with the theme today too. But oh well! They are saved for next time we have a similar topic I guess. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website!

We have done a lot of gluten-free baking, but gluten-free and dairy-free at the same time has got to be difficult!
I looked through my LibraryThing for chocolate books I’ve read, and found Chocolate-Covered Murder by Leslie Meier (part of a cozy mystery series set in Maine). It’s even got a Valentine’s Day theme!

I love this list so much, and I really liked your choice of topic here. I was completely expecting a fun twist on the prompt, and you didn’t let me down! I’m especially impressed that you were able to list so many books about chocolate, since the only one I was able to think of was Chocolat, and that’s only because of the movie. It has not just the cakes & biscuits you’d expect, but vegan and savoury foods that draw out everything chocolate has to offer.
I, though not vegan, had a plant-based hazelnut bar today and it wassublime.
