My apologies, but I could not come up with good answers for the original theme this week, Books That Live in My Head Rent-Free.
Therefore, here are ten books I’ve read that start with the letter B. It’s been years since I read them, but I do remember thinking they were all good reads!

1.Baby Doctor: A Pediatrician’s Training by Perri Klass

2.The Ballad of Tom Dooley (Ballad, #9) by Sharyn McCrumb

3. Bog Child by Siobahn Dowd

4. The Bear by Claire Cameron

5. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

6.Breaking Vegan: One Woman’s Journey from Veganism, Extreme Dieting, and Orthorexia to a More Balanced Life by Jordan Younger

7. The Beauty: Poems by Jane Hirshfield

8. Bad Faith: When Religious Belief Undermines Modern Medicine by Paul A. Offit
(This book cover was too large to load).
9. Black Man in a White Coat: A Doctor’s Reflection on Race and Medicine by Damon Moody

10. Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel by Carl Safina
Love the Alphabet Challenge! I haven’t read any of these yet, but Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel sounds like an intriguing read.
Thanks. Hope you like that one if you read it.
I just read (and loved!) Beyond Words.
Yay!
Ha, like the other commenters before me, I have to comment on Beyond Words — it looks really good!
It was a great read for sure.
I haven’t read any of these! But love this topic. Makes me want to start the alphabet next time I need a new topic for what is being done. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my post!
You totally should, and you’re welcome.
I’ve heard of a folk song about Tom Dooley, but never a book!
You might like it. 🙂
I love the Lemony Snicket books.sky husband introduced them to me.
That’s awesome.
I haven’t read any of these although I have (of course) heard of the Lemony Snicket books. Bad Faith and Black Man in a White Coat both sound very intriguing though!
They were both very good.
Nice work. I like these alpahbet posts–either by author or title. I find new-to-me books.
Same here!
I haven’t read any of these, but they do look like good ones.
Thanks. 🙂
Beartown by Fredrick Backman came to mind..Have you read it?
No, I never have, but I should sometime. 🙂
I am very curious about Beyond Words. I’ve been seeing all these reels in social media with cats and dogs starting to communicate using word buttons and I love seeing how animals have always been so intelligent and we just needed to find ways to communicate with them. I also checked out the description for The Bear and omg, it sounds like a harrowing read!
I’ve seen some of those videos, too, and am completely fascinated by them.
Using the alphabet to find our books is fun because ideally it makes us find some books that maybe we don’t feature as often. 🙂 Glad you remember liking these. Those are the best kind of reader memories. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my list today.
Yes, that is so very true. And you’re welcome.
These are all unfamiliar me, thanks for sharing your #TTT
You’re welcome.
The struggle is real, today! But, in a way you still went with the prompt, just narrowed it down to “B” books 😉 Have a good week.
I like the way you think. Have a good week yourself.
These are all new to me apart from Lemony Snickett, so plenty to look into!
Yay!
Beyond Words sounds like an interesting read.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/my-seven-favorite-holiday-reads-of-2025/
I’m glad you think so.
I only know of Lemony Snickett! I think I’ve only read the first book. Great list!
Same here. 🙂
I haven’t read these but Beyond Worlds looks amazing!
It was.
Nice list, Beyond Words looks so sweet.
It was good.
ASOUE is a very odd but also fun series. I’ve read a handful of the books. I still need to finish the series!
Happy TTT!

Cool!
Sorry you weren’t able to think of books for this week’s topic, but glad you came up with a different one, I presume you have done books beginning with A before. I would like to have a go at a letter topic one like this. 😊
Yes, I did the letter A here: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-ive-read-whose-titles-begin-with-the-letter-a/
I hope you do join in on it sometime!
I love seeing different alphabet book posts! These look like good books 🙂
Thank you. So do I!
What a wonderful list, Lydia. Most of these are new to me, though I might have Lemony Snicket’s book here. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
You’re quite welcome.
