I’m going to assume that this week’s prompt is asking us to make a list of book titles that are unique and attention grabbing. Everything on my list is something that grabbed my attention so thoroughly I had to pick it up and read the blurb as soon as I spotted its title. Since most of them are still on my TBR, I won’t go into detail about them this time.
1. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, #1) by Seth Grahame-Smith
2. The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse by Robert Rankin
3. Fairy Tales Written by Rabbits by Mary A. Parker
4. Never Slow Dance with a Zombie by E. Van Lowe
5. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt
6. Go the Fuck to Sleep by Adam Mansbach
7.The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (Fairyland, #1) by Catherynne M. Valente
8.Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez
9. Ophelia Joined the Group Maidens Who Don’t Float: Classic Lit Signs on to Facebook by Sarah Schmelling
10. Drop Dead Healthy: One Man’s Humble Quest for Bodily Perfection by A.J. Jacobs
Great choices.
Go the Fuck to Sleep is a particularly bittersweet one. I used to laugh at it, now I could cry as I have TWO that do this!!!!!
Oh, no! I hope your kids start sleeping better soon.
He just put out another one that you might want to read, “Fuck, Now There Are Two of You” 😉
Ha! That’s great.
Great list! Go the Fuck to Sleep is still one of the best book titles ever, in my opinion. Never Slow Dance with a Zombie is such a good title – I need to check that one out!
Heh, I hope you like it. And Go the Fuck to Sleep is one of the all-time best book titles.
Drop Dead Healthy, great title.
I’m glad you liked that one.
Hahah Go the Fuck to Sleep – that one is pretty epic!
It sure is.
I see you love long titles 😁
Heh, I suppose I do.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a delightfully absurd book!
And while I haven’t read The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland, the album inspired by that book (Wonders by S. J. Tucker) is one of my favorites and well worth listening to if you like fairy folk music. (SJ Tucker is one of my favorite musicians, period.)
Ooh, thank you! I’m looking that album up now. And glad to hear that you liked Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
These are all great titles! I especially like Fairy Tales Written by Rabbits! Happy reading! 🙂
My Top Ten Tuesday!
Thank you very much.
I forgot about THE GIRL WHO CIRCUMNAVIGATED…what a wonderful title. All the books in that series have cool titles. My TTT
That’s great to know.
OMG, Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse is definitely an extraordinary book title! Now I need to go see what it’s about! 😀
Same here. LOL.
The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse is an interesting title. It leaves some questions on what it’s about.
It sure does. The blurb is interesting, too.
Great list Lydia! I haven’t read any of these books, but I would love to read The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente, and I saw the film of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which I thought was good fun. Here’s my TTT post: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2019/10/15/top-ten-tuesday-15th-october-2019/ 🙂
Thanks. You had a great post this week as well.
Yeah, the film version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was pretty good.
“The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse” — Now THAT’S a title and I’m curious and have so many questions. xD I’ve always loved the title “Go the Fuck to Sleep,” and it makes me giggle. Because I’m clearly a horrible parent.
Ha! Too funny.
Great titles! I had to simply take the first 10 that attracted my attention and stop because I could have made a very long list! Maybe a list for each genre! 😂😂😂

I hear you there. Good list this week.
I’ve always loved the title Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. It’s just so cool.
Have you ever read it? I’m so curious about it.
I totally forgot about The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making when making my own list! It’s a great book title that really grabbed my attention. I also haven’t read the book yet.
I hope we both find time to read it soon.
Ooo! P+P+Z is an excellent pick. That one definitely snags the attention of a would-be reader, whether for the good or bad, well, that depends on the reader. 😉 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Lydia.
You’re quite welcome.
Hey, I just checked out ‘The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making’ from the local library for my younger sister the other day. All truly unusual titles, but my favorite has got to be ‘The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse!” 🙂
How cool! I hope your sister likes that one. And thanks.
Go the Fuck to Sleep is definitely the best title. Direct & exactly what I think when I am babysitting (at times). 😂
It is pretty awesome. I hope your charges go to sleep easily next time. I babysat a few kids who had trouble with that, too.
I’ve read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which was a lot of fun, but I haven’t watched the movie yet. Might be a good one this time of year. Great list! 🙂
The movie was pretty interesting. And thanks.
These are great! XD I especially love Pride and Prejudice and Zombies!
Thanks a lot. Yeah, that book was a creative one.
I have a copy of The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland, but just haven’t read it yet. All of these titles sound amazing. I particularly like the Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse. That sounds like a hoot!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
You’re welcome. I need to read those books, too.
Oh fun titles!! These are mostly all new to me ones!
Thanks for visiting my TTT post!
You’re quite welcome. Thanks for saying hello over here.
Go the Fuck to Sleep lol I love it! I didn’t love the book Drop Dead Healthy, but I do still love the title!
Thanks for the heads up about Drop Dead Healthy. And Go the Fuck to Sleep was great.
Go the fuck to sleep is one i have been wanting but just haven’t gotten around to it. Great list.
It’s the one book on my list I have read. I highly recommend it. And thanks.
These are some really interesting book titles!
Thank you very much.
Love the list! Thanks for stopping by.
You’re quite welcome.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is such a wacky title!
And I can’t even bring myself to write it, but I can’t imagine someone naming their book something so astonishingly awful. I bet it was a bestseller!
Heh, I think it might have done well.
Two of these made my list! Also, Go The Fuck To Sleep is an awesome title. My baby needs that book!
Heh, I hope your baby starts sleeping better soon.
“The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making (Fairyland, #1)”
How to sell me a book in one ‘little’ title! Great list.
Thank you! I had the same reaction to that title.
Fairy Tales Written by Rabbits is a fantastic title!
Agreed. 🙂
Great titles! I didn’t even think of Go the Fuck to sleep lol. I’m definitely interested in some of these ☺️
Thank you! I hope you enjoy these books if you read them.
Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil is on my TBR.
That’s cool. Happy reading.
Nice choices! You’ve got some really interesting ones in here!
Thanks a lot.
These are most definitely extraordinary titles. And, as someone who has had issues with sleep my whole life, I especially love the title Go the Fuck to Sleep. Haven’t all parents wanted to scream that out?
Heh, most probably. Sleep issues are awful for babies and adults alike.
the hollow chocolate bunnies makes me hungry lmaooo great list
Same here! Thank you.
OMG these titles are so funny!
Heh, thanks.
I can’t BELIEVE I forgot The Girl Who Circumnavigated… it’s an amazing title. And I’m totally used to Love in the Time of Cholera now, but I thought it was a very quirky title when I first heard it. It’s funny what you grow accustomed to, eh?
Heh, for sure.
Great list! I almost added The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland to my list this week, and Go the Fuck to Sleep (I particularly love that title haha).
Cool!
Ooh I really like The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse! Great title. Same with Never Slow Dance With a Zombie. eww lol.
Go the F*ck To Sleep cracks me up!
Heh, ditto.
*dies laughing* 4, 7, and 9 just cracked me up so much! These are brilliant picks, Lydia!
Thank you very much.
Go the Fuck to Sleep has always caught my attention. I really need to read it to see what it’s about. I picked up
.The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making but didn’t get through much of it and ended up DNFing it. If you get around to it I’d like to see what you think.
Thanks for the heads up about The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making.
You have some really awesome-sounding book titles listed here…I think I’ve heard good things about the Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse. I was given Pride & Prejudice and Zombies for my birthday one year…and just couldn’t get into it. I think I’m too attached to the original novel 😀
Thanks a lot!
Great list. I have read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, of course because of the title – and that I read Pride and Prejudice in high school. Never Slow Dance With A Zombie is being added to my TBR. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome. Happy reading!
Well, I definitely need to look up The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse!
Cool! Enjoy.
I love these! And how have I not stumbled across the Eddie Bear series before?? Where have I been? Great list and now I have MORE books to read.
Thank you. I hope you enjoy the Eddie Bear series.
The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse sounds like a super fun title. And I do need to get around to .The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making, I like what I’ve read of Valente’s other books and short stories so far.
I hope you enjoy both of those books. Thanks for stopping by.
Go the Fuck to Sleep is definitely a standout title.
Heh, absolutely.
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is a great title but I just could not get through the book. I tried and tried but it was such a slow read.
Good to know. I haven’t tried to read it yet.
The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse is an interesting title! And I’ve heard of The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairlyand in a Ship of Her Own Making; great title! The word choice is awesome. 🙂
Thank you for checking out my list too!

You’re welcome. Thanks for stopping by here.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is definitely an attention-grabbing title. I have no idea how zombies could ever feature in the world of Pride and Prejudice haha.
Heh, it’s a super unique idea for sure.
I forgot about Pride, Prejudice and Zombies or that would have definitely made my list this week. Go the Fuck to Sleep makes me laugh every time I see it, lol. Such a unique yet relatable title for a parent.
I’m glad you liked those titles.
I definitely picked up The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making because of the title alone. Great List.
Yay! I hope you like it. And thank you.
I haven’t heard of most of these, but I definitely clicked on 2 and 9 to find out more. (and number 9 is DEFINITELY going on my library-checkout list now)
I haven’t read 5 or 8, but I’m familiar with them and I agree they have an iconic ring to them.
Thanks. i hope you like #2 and #9.
