There are so many things I’m thankful for. For the sake of brevity, these are just a few of them.
A Soft Bed
My husband and I bought a new bed about a year ago. Before then, we slept on a mattress that was lumpy, sagging, and filled with springs that had started wandering around a little. Sometimes I’d wake up with a sore hip or back because of how a spring had poked into me. It was such a relief to have a more comfortable place to sleep again.
A Kitchen Filled with Food
Too many people don’t know where their next meal is coming from. I consider myself very lucky to always have something to eat.
Clean Clothes
Not everyone has access to this either. I’m grateful for the opportunity to change my clothes regularly and always have enough money to wash them when they get dirty.
Internet Access
I use the Internet to keep in touch with family and friends, volunteer, update my blog, borrow library books, stay current on world events, and so much more.

Lydia,
Nice reminder of seemingly small things that make a huge difference in how we live, how we feel about ourselves, and how people perceive us. Clean cloths are a blessing about which I do not think. I admire the way you make us aware of aspects of life many of us take for granted.
Ruth
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Good post and list. Those things are all the best. 🙂
Thanks. I’m glad you agree.
I have mattress envy, lol. We’re looking at getting a new one, but SO MANY CHOICES.
Basic needs are something a lot of folks do without. There’s not a day that goes by that I’m not grateful I’m not one of them.
Yes, absolutely!
I hope you get that new mattress soon.
I love this! I may join this challenge as well.
That’s awesome! I hope you do. There will be a list of topics for 2020 coming out soon, but feel free to jump in on the rest of the 2019 topics as well.
Great list, Lydia. Agree 100% on the bed. After sleeping on too-small and hand-me-down mattresses, we got a new king-sized bed when we moved into our house.
It. Is. Awesome.
(Both of us are tall people, and it’s so nice to be able to stretch out and not accidentally push the other out of bed)
I’m so glad you have a comfortable place to sleep 🙂
Thank you very much.
I’m glad you got a nice, new bed, too. Life is easier when you can get a good night’s sleep every night.
I need a new bed, but we had to replace the refrigerator earlier this year so… it has to wait. *sigh*
Great list though!
My post.
Thank you. I hope you’ll be able to get a new bed in 2020.
Every time I travel and have to sleep in a motel or hotel I can’t wait to get back to my bed. You don’t know how important it is until then. Great items on your list.
Thank you very much! Hotel beds are nice, but there’s no place like home. 🙂
So true, all of these. So much to be thankful for!
Thanks. 🙂
I’m with you on food 🥘 I never take the fact that I can afford to eat regularly for granted… too many people going hungry out there to not be grateful for not being among them! My heart goes out to them always ❤️
Great list! Thanks for stopping by mine earlier
You’re very welcome. And agreed.
Great list! My hubby and just got a new mattress too. SO nice to slip on a nice comfortable mattress. Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s my list. https://www.tenastetler.com/thankful-lsrs-wednesdays-blog-challenge-11-20-2019/
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you’re enjoying your new mattress.
Food and internet access are things I’m definitely thankful for. So many people in the world don’t have those things.
This is sad but true.
