Top Ten Tuesday: Ten TTT Topics I Really Enjoyed Doing

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

A heart shape cut out of a thick green hedge. My idea for this post came from Annemieke from A Dance with Books.

Last July, she wrote about this topic because the assigned topic for that week didn’t work for her.

Thank you, Annemieke, for inspiring me to write about my favourite TTT topics for today’s freebie.

I hope that Jana will borrow your idea and make it an official prompt sometime. If that doesn’t happen, maybe other participants in this meme will borrow it the next time they’re stumped by a prompt.

Wouldn’t that be delightful? It’s a fantastic idea.

Here are ten Top Ten Tuesday posts I really enjoyed doing. I included brief explanations for some of them.

1. Seasonal TBRs like the one we did for the Summer of 2021

I’ve learned about so many amazing upcoming books through my own research for these posts as well as by reading all of your responses to it!

2.  Favourite Things to Eat/Drink While Reading

3. Goals and Hopes for 2021

This was such a wholesome and uplifting way say goodbye to 2020 and usher in 2021.

4. Thanksgiving Freebies

5. Unpopular Bookish Opinions

Close up of the Add New Post here section of the backend of the WordPress blog. 6. Audiobooks Freebie

I actually tried some audiobooks thanks in part to everyone’s responses to this post. While I still prefer reading to listening in most cases, there are definitely some advantages to audiobooks.

7. Authors Who Have a Fun Social Media Presence

8. Halloween Freebies

Halloween is my favourite holiday of the year, so I always get excited at the prospect of gushing about it for Top Ten Tuesday.

As you may have already figured out, I also love freebie posts in general. There are creative responses to them every single time.

9. Outrageous Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books

10. First Ten Books I Reviewed

What have been some of your favourite TTT topics?

  1. I always love seeing what other people come up with for a freebie or twists on topic. I love that this is always an option with ttt as well.
I also love all the seasonal tbr’s, especially to see those of others.

  2. I did the Halloween and the Thanksgiving Freebies last year and yes! They were both a lot of fun. I enjoyed them too.

This is a great idea and I also hope that Jana will make it an official prompt.

    Happy TTT!

  3. I love your list-of-lists. It was comforting to me to read everyone else’s Outrageous Things list…it seemed to make my outrageous things seem a bit more normal.

To celebrate the ten year anniversary of TTT, I made a master list of all my TTT lists…467 lists! It is here: https://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/p/lists-lists-and-more-lists.html

  4. Ooh, this is a great freebie topic and I’ll defo be bookmarking it for the next freebie (cos I hate coming up with topics when I’m running low on brain fuel lol)! I really enjoyed doing some of the topics you mentioned as well. Unpopular Bookish Opinions are always super fun to read 😂

  5. I love seasonal TBRs—I get so many reqs that way!

Thanks for stopping by earlier. Happy TTT

  10. I like your lists for #5 & 9. I might use some of these for future TTT posts.

Thank you for your visit. Have a lovely day.

  11. These are fun prompts! Some of my favorite TTT prompts focus on covers — covers with a specific theme, or favorite/least favorite covers, I just like finding covers to fit the prompt. 🙂

  16. Those are some really fun topics!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

  17. Great post! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone go down this route. It’s funny how everyone has different aspects of blogging they enjoy. I really like researching and posting TBRs too.

  18. I love the idea of doing a TTT on favorite TTTs! Great post this week!

  19. Yay for Annemieke! 🙂 And what a cool topic. I too hope it gets used. There are so many good TTT possibilities…

  20. Aaah, I love this idea and I’m going to write it down somewhere for when I need inspiration 😀

Thanks for visiting my blog earlier, I hope you have a great week!

  21. I enjoy the seasonal tbr lists, too.

  22. What a good idea – I often get stumped with those freebie weeks. The end of he year/beginning of a new year is probably my favourite. The ones I dislike the most are just lists of books based on colour of the cover

  23. Love this! I’m always excited for a Halloween freebie.

  24. Thanks for the look back at some of your lists! I miss some of the topics as they fly by…

  25. I never did a lot of those TTT. I think for our next freebie, I will do the first ten books I reviewed, it is a list I would like to revisit. Great freebie list, Lydia.

  26. #2, 5, and 10 are fun topics. I’ll have to remember those for when I want to change things up…

    My TTT list

  27. Great list Lydia! I haven’t done many TTTs so it’s fun to see posts you’ve done before that you enjoyed.

  28. I think Halloween freebie week is my favorite. I love all the topics everyone comes up with.

  29. I enjoyed doing all of these TTT topics as well. 🙂

I’m glad you chose/borrowed this idea — it was really fun to scroll down and revisit memories, because you highlighted some truly great ones. I was actually just thinking about the favorite food/drinks ones yesterday as I read a mystery novel with my trusty baked potato chips/diet coke combo.

I never did manage to come up with outrageous things I’ve done for the love of books, but reading others’ responses was fun!

My all-time favorites were the “most read authors” and “most owned authors,” because STATISTICS!, but I also love anything that encourages people to talk childhood favorites or older/backlist books like I often do. 🙂

  31. I love your take on this freebie and saving it for the next freebie myself 🙂 My TTT: 13 Wonderful Books to Celebrate Sons

  32. What a great list. It is fun to revisit what we have done.

I prefer printed books as well, but the occasional audiobook works for me.

Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog Tuesday.

  33. I love seasonal tbrs, I really enjoy making them and reading other people’s seasonal tbrs too!

  34. I love the Halloween Freebie too! 😊
